Local Delivery FAQs

We deliver to most zip codes in Illinois.
Mondays and Tuesdays between 8am and 4 pm except on national holidays. Rarely, the requested delivery date needs to be changed due to stock availability or temporary weather conditions. In this case, we will contact you to reschedule the delivery.

At the time of checkout, you’re going to select your delivery day, typically within a week of your order. We will do our very best to ensure you receive your plants on your preferred date. We deliver on Mondays and Tuesdays each week. Our delivery routes depend on all of the orders we will be delivering in those two days so you’ll be able to pick your day and your plant will be delivered on that day between 9 am-4 pm.
You can check your order’s status by heading to My Account and selecting the correct order. You can also find more information in the confirmation email receipt sent to you at the time of your order. If you did not receive a confirmation email, check your spam folder or contact us at info@shopgoodroots.com.
The delivery fee is zip code dependent and is added at the time of checkout.
Of course, as long as they are included in our delivery zip codes in Illinois. Simply, provide their name and address at the time of checkout.
We provide a complimentary plastic watering tray with each plant delivery. We believe the secret to plant care success starts with good drainage therefore recommend leaving your plants in their nursery pots and lifting them into the plastic tray for watering so you can see that water is thoroughly soaking the roots and running out of the holes. If you prefer a more finished look you can simply nest your nursery pots inside of decorative pots or baskets and add moss to the top of the dirt.
We believe that anyone can be a successful plant owner. We provide detailed instructions on care and you can always shoot us an email if you need some advice. And remember, the plants you’re getting delivered have been on a long journey to reach their final landing space in your home. They are living things that do react to changing conditions so sometimes there is a period of adjustment as they settle in. But, if your plant passes away within the first 15 days of delivery, we will replace it for you unless it has been neglected. We cannot guarantee a plant will survive and thrive in your space, but please reach out to us at info@shopgoodroots.com upon seeing any signs of duress so we can assist.
Please contact us at info@shopgoodroots.com within 24 hours of receiving your order with any concerns.
If you contact us before your delivery date, you can expect to receive a full refund. If you cancel your order on the delivery date, you will receive a refund minus a $50 restocking fee.
We offer virtual consults! We can walk your space together and discuss your lighting situation, what you are willing to give in terms of plant care, and of course the desired aesthetic you are going for. Please email info@shopgoodroots.com or visit our virtual consultation page.
We understand things come up! Please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule the delivery. If it's within 24 hours we can reschedule at no cost, but if it is within 24 hours unfortunately we will have to charge an additional delivery fee.
